Khiala Williams grew up as a middle class suburban Detroiter, not knowing any difficulties until she goes off to Michigan State University. She meets and soon falls in love with Brandon Davis. Just when she thinks life couldn’t be better, things take a dramatic turn. Khiala and Brandon are both faced with extenuating familial circumstances, which causes them to get caught up in illegal activities. Their decisions turn them from over achieving college students to convicted felons. Things go from bad to worse as they fight the suggested life sentences. Khiala continues to make decisions based on her circumstances and goes from one game to another trying to regain the life she knew before her downfall. Her determination and vigor help her battle the cards which continue to stack against her.  She merely escapes death, but is determined to win the game.

Author’s Biography 
Tonya Shirelle is a divorced mother of three, Cierra Domonique, Tiffany Brandice and Rodney LaMarr Wallace Jr, residing in the Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan area. She began reading and writing at the age of  three. She has published several articles throughout the years and had a column in a local newspaper entitled “Time to Talk, Woman to Woman.”

Her can do attitude has taken her far in life. She has an entrepreneurial spirit which she continues to nurture. Determined and dedicated to whatever tasks are put before her, she juggles her busy schedule daily.  From co-owning a children’s clothing store for seven years to owning a consulting company, she is dedicated and focused. She has many aspirations and has decided to conquer them all.

Growing up Tonya learned from her family that the only limitations people have in life are the ones they placed on themselves. Her motto is “if you can believe it you can achieve it, yet you have to put the plan in action.”  That’s just what she has done.

Her literary journey is one filled with real issues as well as humor. Tonya loves to laugh, even in the midst of adversity she seeks something to smile about. She creates characters with stick-to-itiveness. Her characters have drive and determination to overcome. Writing is something that is natural for her. She has written several manuscripts in addition to her first soon to be published “Circumstances.” So stay tuned there’s more to come from Tonya Shirelle.
