Centered around a fictional cavalry outfit in Texas, this novel follows the
story of Moses Trinidad a sergeant in the United States Army. Following the
war between the states, thousands of brave black men ventured West in search
of adventure and the thought of leaving racial hatred behind. Only to be
used to displace Indians from their land and to find the white settlers they
protected, hated them as well.
The author of the book is first time novelist Michael Walter Tudda of
Brattleboro Vermont. The character of Moses Trinidad, is the only historical
fiction action hero to be honored by and African American Medal of Honor
recipient.
Mr. Sasser, is one of two living African-American Medal of Honor recipients
in the world, he has given his personal endorsement to the book. “It is an
engrossing story of the men that settlement of the West and expansion of
