Facades
by Mildred Dumas
Infinity Publishing
Facades is a Detective Mystery about people, places, and things that are not
what they appear to be. Canyon Springs, Colorado had been a quiet, safe
place to live until strange things (including a bizarre murder) began to
happen. Tindell’s, owned by the beautiful, exotic, but mysterious Louisa
Tindell, turns out to be much more than its appearance of an exclusive
department store where the town’s elite—including the wives of four of the
town’s wealthy, upstanding (on the surface anyway) African-American
citizens: a doctor, a lawyer, a real estate broker, and a business
magnate—and others come to shop. Facades takes us into the world of
high-class prostitution, greed, deception, murder and mayhem. Chief of
Police, George Shaffer, is appalled at the corruption that is invading his
town and vows to get to the bottom of whatever is going on if it’s the last
thing he does.
