Is Real Love Worth My Life
by D.M. Cummings
TWIM Publishing
D.M. Cummings has a totally new out look on life because of her past
experiences. Is Real Love Worth My Life, is based on a true story. It’s a
book of love hate and domestic violence. It shows the games that men play
and how they use what they have to get want they want, when it comes to the
ladies. It tells how a girl will stay around when her man puts it down, no
matter what he puts her through. Written by a woman who was involved with
“the man” he had the nice rimmed out cars, the fancy jewelry and the
attention of all the ladies. When he lured them in, he use them and let
them go, until he ran into a woman that turned the tables and he didn’t know
how to handle it, their relationship grew strong until he became possessive,
controlling and abusive and neither one of them wanted the relationship to
end or should I see neither one of them wanted to see the other person with
someone else. Is Real Love Worth My Life, is a real eye opener and it will
really have you look at your own situations.

Excerpt
I finally saw the light of what everybody was trying to tell me. I met a
guy that my mother forbidden me to see, my friends stopped hanging around me
because they saw things that love had blinded me from seeing. It took almost
ten years for me to see the light, but by then I had a child, was trying to
finish school and I had a lot of other responsibilities that I didn’t think
that I could handle on my own and I felt that I need to be with this man
because he had been there for me and I knew he was able and willing to take
care of me. Even though we fist fought, argued and despised each other at
times we still stayed together for the “sake of our child”. I now see what
other women went through when I would always say “oh, she so stupid, if that
were me I would do this…” it’s not always that easy and now that I have
lived the life I will never use that line again.
I tried to leave the
relationship so many times, but then he would stalk me, he’d take my
personal belongings to make me come see him. I didn’t call the police
because he had custody of two of his other daughters and I knew they needed
him and so did his other five kids, and I didn’t want to see him locked up.
Then he finally pushed me to the end of the road and all the lies, that I
had believed in the past, all of the smacks in the mouth that I stood for
and all the other women that was put right in my face became old and I
became fed up and I finally took some action.
I hope that men who read
this book will see some of the things that they put woman through and I hope
that they see how they hurt woman by their actions without even knowing.
Sometimes what’s right to a man may not be right to the woman and vise
versa. I hope that woman who read this book will see that they do not have
to settle of a man that’s abusing them or cheating on them. There is a good
man out there you just have to be patient. I have met the man of my dreams
and I am so happy, it took so time but I was patient and it was worth the
wait.
